Dani Alves Acquitted and Set to Receive Compensation After 14 Months in Prison
On March 28, the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) ruled to acquit Dani Alves of the charges against him due to "inconsistencies" in the victim's testimony. The prosecution had sought a sentence of up to four and a half years, but the court ruled in his favor, opening the door for compensation for his unjust imprisonment.

According to Judge José Antonio Vázquez Taín, Dani Alves is entitled to €11,000 for his wrongful imprisonment. The judge explained that Alves could claim a higher amount, but it would depend on the court's acceptance of his request.
Spanish Law Supports Alves
Dani Alves' compensation is based on Article 294 of the Organic Law of the Judiciary in Spain, which states that any individual unjustly detained has the right to financial compensation unless the detention was due to force majeure.
The amount is determined based on the number of days spent in prison, as well as personal and family consequences. According to current standards, compensation is calculated at €30 per day of imprisonment.
