This disturbing incident took place on Wednesday night and involved the use of an alkaline substance, according to reports. The mother, aged 31, and her daughters, aged 8 and 3, have been hospitalized, with authorities stating that their injuries may have long-lasting effects.
Sir Mark Rowley, the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service, confirmed that a total of twelve people were harmed in the attack. Alongside the mother and her daughters, who were the primary targets, four members of the public were also involved, with three requiring hospital treatment and one declining medical assistance. Additionally, five police officers were involved in assisting at the scene, but fortunately, none of them required hospitalization.
The suspect in the chemical attack has been identified as Abdul Ezedi, a 35-year-old individual who reportedly traveled to London from the Newcastle area. Ezedi is said to have a notable injury on his face. After attempting to flee in a car, he collided with another vehicle before fleeing on foot. As of now, Ezedi was last spotted in north London, prompting authorities to urge the public to be cautious and not approach him if sighted.
